There are Italian reports Roma could sell Kostas Manolas tomorrow if the right offer arrives, as they won’t send Leandro Paredes to Juventus.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport and Il Messaggero, the Greek international is increasingly irritated at the lack of progress for his contract extension.

He was left on the bench for yesterday’s 3-2 Serie A defeat to Sampdoria, officially so he could be rested.

However, Roma need to sell in order to balance the books for the Financial Fair Play regulations.

Paredes was the man to be sacrificed, but the Giallorossi have no intention of selling him to rivals Juventus, even if they do meet the €30m asking price.

Liverpool would be the ideal solution, but it doesn’t seem as if Jurgen Klopp’s club are prepared to pay up.

The Argentine midfielder was asked by reporters at the Sampdoria game if he was staying and nodded 'yes.'

Manolas has numerous admirers in the Premier League and Paris Saint-Germain too, including Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton, Manchester City and Manchester United.

There have been suggestions that his agent is already in talks with Inter for a summer swoop, which also may be why Roma would be prepared to sell now rather than reinforce a Serie A rival.

His agent confirmed a few weeks ago that Roma rejected an offer in the region of €40m for Manolas over the summer, so it’d have to be a similar sum.
