Simone Inzaghi insists it is case closed as far as controversy involving Lucas Biglia and a Lazio ultra is concerned.

Biglia was furious with a Lazio fan that allegedly spat at him during the side’s 1-0 defeat to Chievo on Saturday, prompting fears that the midfielder would abandon renewal talks with the club, but Inzaghi is confident his captain has moved on from the incident.

“The defeat hurts, this is very normal, but I must still compliment the lads because they played very well,” the Coach said at a Press conference ahead of Tuesday’s Coppa Italia quarter-final against Inter.

“They all gave 100 percent, but I don’t want to find excuses, Chievo won an incredible game. We could’ve and should’ve been more ruthless in front of their goal.

“I’m sorry, I feel annoyed somewhat that we couldn’t improve our position in the table and we’re wounded by it, but the game’s now in the archives and our mind is on the game against Inter.

“Inter? They’ve improved under Stefano [Pioli], so we’ll have to be united and compact to win in Milan. Inter are doing well, and we’ll have to do more than we did at the end of December.

“I’ve decided to call up everyone, including Keita who will join us in Milan. I won’t play him, as I won’t Milinkovic, who picked up a knock on Sunday.

“In any case, they’ll be with us. As for Marchetti, we’ll evaluate his condition tomorrow. He had a fever on Saturday but trained yesterday and today. Tomorrow we’ll see.

“The market? I think ours is over, although you can never say never. We’ve showed that we can stay near the top with this squad.

“Biglia? He’s fine and acted like a captain. I’m sorry for what happened, these things should not happen.

“We’ve reached the quarter-finals, but we were unlucky in the draw. Now we’re playing for the semi-finals, an objective to be met with our strength. I’ll have to do well to pick our best team.

“I’m proud of what we’ve done so far. We deserve a few more points in the table but against Chievo we gave everything.

“Three at the back? We’ll go back to it when I feel the time is right. With a three-man defence, we beat Atalanta, a deserved win thanks to our organisation.”
