Patrik Schick warned that after Sampdoria saw off Roma, “we’re convinced we can beat Milan too this weekend.”

The 21-year-old striker is in his debut Serie A season, but has already contributed seven goals in 19 competitive games, including Sunday’s 3-2 victory over Roma.

“That win was really important for us, because we needed points and to improve our position in the table,” Schick told Mediaset Premium.

“Obviously I am very happy with the goals and scoring against a big club always gives you extra joy.

“We’re going to San Siro stronger and with more belief in ourselves. Milan have had a few problems lately, but I saw the game with Napoli and they play very well.

“I am nonetheless convinced that we can complete with Milan and beat them this weekend too.”

Schick has been linked to big clubs including Milan, Juventus and Inter.
