According to Corriere dello Sport, the Nerazzurri have opened channels with Los Merengues through the aforementioned meeting, and have enquired about the availability of the 24-year-old.

With a contract expiring in 2018, it is thought that the Spaniard will decline to sign a new deal with the club, after experiencing a lack of playing time under Zinedine Zidane.

Making 11 La Liga starts and seven appearances from the bench, Isco has scored five goals and registered as many assists for Los Blancos this term.

Inter may face competition from Juventus however, who have previously been linked with a bid for the player.
