“The important thing is to get back on your feet and react, which is what we did today in a difficult arena with a convincing performance,” Pioli told Sky Sport Italia.
“We are Inter and it’s right to push to the end for a Champions League place, even if we know it’ll be difficult. There are still quite a few head-to-head clashes before April 30.
“Only a series of consecutive victories can put us in a position to fight it out with Napoli. We’ve lost only one game.
“Today not only did we score five goals, but created many more opportunities. It’s an important response and now we prepare for a decisive week, as Atalanta are one point ahead of us and we face them next Sunday.
“I don’t think three or four at the back changes that much, it’s all about the interpretation and not the starting position. We must try to be more unpredictable and push down the flanks.
“The attacking approach went well today, but we cannot continue to run such risks in defence.”
Antonio Conte and Diego Simeone are just two of the Coaches linked with Pioli’s job for next season.
“It doesn’t weigh on me, as I know how it goes: if you win they call you a phenomenon, if you lose then they act like you need to be replaced.
“It’s more important to focus on the present. My work is tied to results, that’s true of every Coach and not just at Inter.”
