Serie A Week 3 - 15 Sep 2013 (14.00 UK)
Udinese 1 - 1 Bologna
Diamanti 71 (B), Di Natale 85 (U)
Stadio Friuli

Antonio Di Natale snatched a late equaliser on his 300th Serie A match for Udinese after Alessandro Diamanti’s divine free kick.

The Friulani were without Zeljko Brkic, Thomas Heurtaux, Dusan Basta and Giampiero Pinzi, but Maurizio Domizzi returned from his injury lay-off. Bologna had just one point to their name, but missed Rene Krhin, Dennis Alibec, Niccolo Cherubin and Frederik Sorensen.

Gianluca Curci rushed off his line to close down Luis Muriel and Di Natale blasted over the bar. The captain was about to score when Bologna failed to clear, but Curci was again alert to parry from nine yards.

Gyorgy Garics used himself as a shield to charge down Andrea Lazzarri’s effort inside the penalty area, while Curci had his palms stung by Luis Muriel.

Roberto Pereyra’s glancing header flashed across the face of goal, but Domizzi went off with a relapse of his injury.

Despite all that time under pressure, Bologna took the lead at the Stadio Friuli. It was a trademark Alessandro Diamanti free kick that curled over the wall into the near top corner.

Di Natale came to the rescue with his first goal of the season, marking his 300th Serie A game for Udinese. Muriel dribbled between defenders and chipped up a pass that Di Natale volleyed powerfully under the bar to equalise.
