Tammy Abraham is set to start up front alongside Sardar Azmoun for Roma against Udinese in Serie A on Thursday evening, as the two sides prepare to play out the final 18 minutes of their suspended match from April 14.

The original match was halted in the 72nd minute after Giallorossi defender Evan Ndicka collapsed on the pitch. He was rushed off on a stretcher before being taken to hospital. He has since been discharged and has been cleared to rejoin the first team squad.

The Ivorian, is, however, not in Daniele De Rossi’s starting line-up on this occasion, nor is Romelu Lukaku. He and Ndicka are expected to be available for the remaining matches of the 2023-24 campaign after Thursday’s match against Udinese.

Hassane Kamara and Kingsley Ehizibue are not involved for Udinese, as they were substituted off during the original fixture and are therefore not permitted to re-enter.

Other than Kamara and Ehizibue, Udinese have named the same starting line-up as the original match just shy of two weeks ago.

De Rossi has shuffled his pack slightly more, and has named an entirely changed back three. Nicola Zalewski, Tommaso Baldanzi, Leandro Paredes and the aforementioned Lukaku also drop out of the XI.

Kick-off is set for 19.00 BST.

Roma (3-4-1-2): Svilar; Mancini, Smalling, Angelino; Karsdorp, Cristante, Pellegrini, Spinazzola; Dybala; Azmoun, Abraham.
