The race is on for Genoa star Albert Gudmundsson, as after Inter and Tottenham made approaches, Juventus reportedly spoke to his agents directly.

The versatile forward has scored 13 goals in 30 Serie A games this season, helping the Grifone to reach mid-table comfort following their promotion from Serie B last summer.

He was already the subject of a bidding war in January, as Fiorentina saw over €20m rejected, with Genoa refusing to even consider a mid-season exit.

His price-tag is believed to a minimum of €30m, with Inter and Tottenham Hotspur already known to be on his tracks.

Now Calciomercato.com claim that Juventus director Cristiano Giuntoli directly contacted Gudmundsson’s agents this week.

They realise that Genoa only want cash, but could be open to lowering the cost with some player exchanges, including Tiago Djalò and Enzo Barrenechea.

Juve might even be prepared to talk about more prestigious players on their roster, such as Fabio Miretti, Kaio Jorge and Samuel Iling-Junior.

The report warns that Gudmundsson wants to be in the Champions League next season, which might make it more difficult for Tottenham to get the upper hand for the Iceland international.
