Juventus are reportedly interested in making a move to sign Manchester United outcast and current Getafe loanee Mason Greenwood, according to updates from La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Old Lady are hoping to bring in a number of reinforcements in wide areas during the summer transfer window, and have also been linked with a potential move for Lazio’s Felipe Anderson.

La Gazzetta reports that Juve are interested in both Anderson and Greenwood, with the latter potentially available for a cut-price fee in the next few months.

Greenwood is on loan in LaLiga from Manchester United and has knocked up a respectable 11 goal involvements from his first 26 league appearances in Spain. That tally is made up of six league goals and five assists.

The 22-year-old is still a divisive figure in Manchester after off-the-pitch troubles, which saw him charged with attempted rape, engaging in controlling and coercive behaviour, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. Those charges were later dropped in 2023.

Greenwood is still contracted to Manchester United, but the idea of a return to the Premier League is not particularly welcomed by large sections of supporters.

Greenwood’s current deal with United runs until the summer of 2025, which means that he will be entering the final year of his contract come the summer. For that reason, outlets in Italy believe he will be available for a reasonable fee in the summer.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus and sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli appreciate Greenwood’s ability on the pitch considering his age. He is also viewed as a potential option out wide in Max Allegri’s 3-5-2, or as a winger in a potential new-look 4-3-3.
