Inter became Serie A champions on Monday night after beating their city rivals Milan in a tense derby della Madonnina which saw three players, two for the Rossoneri and one for the Nerazzurri, sent off in the final minutes of the game.
Coach Simone Inzaghi praised his players during post-match interviews while director Beppe Marotta insisted the club had a ‘successful business model’ which will make the Nerazzurri competitive in the future as well.
Captain Lautaro Martinez said the Nerazzurri want ‘many more trophies’ before joining his teammates for celebrations on the pitch and inside the dressing room.
Inter and their players have widely celebrated their latest achievement on social media. Hakan Calhanoglu responded to abuse from Milan fans with an Instagram post, while Inter’s Serie A opponents, including Juventus and Napoli, congratulated the Nerazzurri on X, formerly Twitter.
