Liverpool will have almost their entire squad available to face Atalanta in the second leg of their Europa League quarter-final on Thursday evening, with first choice goalkeeper Alisson and star forward Mohamed Salah expected to have more of an involvement after returning to the starting line-up in the Premier League at the weekend.

The only first team regulars who will not travel with the Liverpool squad to Bergamo are centre-back Joel Matip and holding midfielder Thiago Alcantara. Youngsters Ben Doak, Rhys Williams and Conor Bradley are also still on the sidelines with injuries.

Klopp has opted to include a handful of youth players in his travelling squad, namely James McConnel and Bobby Clark in midfield, while Jayden Danns joins the attackers.

In an otherwise star-studded squad, there are expected inclusions for the likes of Salah, Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz, Cody Gakpo and Darwin Nunez.

Liverpool will need an onslaught in front of goal if they are to qualify for the semi-finals, given Atalanta’s stunning 3-0 return at Anfield last week.

Kick-off at the Gewiss Stadium is set for 20.00 BST on Thursday night.
