The Fiorentina players, coaches and directors paid a touching tribute to Joe Barone ahead of their first training session back at Viola Park.

The Fiorentina CEO suddenly passed away on Tuesday at the age of 58 following a cardiac arrest suffered on Sunday. The situation caused the Serie A clash with Atalanta to be postponed and his sudden illness prompted an outpouring of support from across the Italian footballing world.

A memorial was held for Barone at Viola Park on Wednesday and the Fiorentina players were given an extra day to mourn. Ahead of their first training session back today, all the staff and first team squad gathered in a circle to pay tribute to their late CEO.
