Exiled goalkeeper Mariano Andujar will likely meet with sporting director Pietro Lo Monaco in Argentina next week to discuss his Catania future.

The former Elefanti No 1 was sent out on loan in January to old side Estudiantes after a blazing row with Lo Monaco. The club suggested that the falling-out was over the ‘keeper’s desire to leave, whilst the player hinted that it was only a personality clash with Lo Monaco.

The former Elefanti No 1 was sent out on loan in January to old side Estudiantes after a blazing row with Lo Monaco. The club suggested that the falling-out was over the ‘keeper’s desire to leave, whilst the player hinted that it was only a personality clash with Lo Monaco.

The duo have the change to clarify the 28-year-old’s playing future next week, as Andujar reflected in the Argentine Press.

“My future? We’ll have to see what Catania are willing to do and what Estudiantes are willing to do.

“Next week I will meet with Lo Monaco here in Argentina. He comes here every year to search for new talent and the opportunity serves well to talk with me.

“At Catania I always played, then I had a personal problem with the director. I do now know what will happen from June onwards.

“Honestly, I’m not thinking about it too much, for now I’m just interested in staying in physical shape and playing well.”
