Del Neri: 'Concentrate on Catania'

Gigi Del Neri is confident Juventus “do not feel guilty” at their European exit, but can now focus on a much hotter trip to Catania.

The Bianconeri crashed out of the Europa League after their draw away to Lech Poznan on Thursday, which was played in temperatures of -15C.

“We do not feel guilty at exiting the competition, as we gave it our all. If anything, the complicated start to the season is what doomed us,” argued the Coach.

The chill of a Polish blizzard will be replaced by sunshine and 20C temperatures in Sicily on Sunday evening.

“Catania is a difficult place to play because of their quality and the great atmosphere provided by the crowd. They have real pace and are well-trained by Marco Giampaolo, particularly intense on home turf.

“We must go into away games in order to win, as it's the only way we can stay tied to the top teams.

“Now we must focus on Serie A, as this Juve side is capable of challenging with the leading clubs. We've got to be more concentrated on free kicks, as recently we hardly conceded any goals from open play.”

Simone Pepe steps in to replace the suspended Claudio Marchisio, while the injury list remains lengthy.

Still out of action are Gigi Buffon, Leandro Rinaudo, Paolo De Ceglie, Jorge Martinez, Amauri and possibly also Zdenek Grygera.

Nicola Legrottaglie is back in training and could be on the bench.
