Di Natale: 'Arsenal like a World Cup'

Antonio Di Natale believes Udinese beating Arsenal to reach the Champions League would be “like winning the World Cup.”

The Friulani lost the first leg 1-0 and hope to overturn that in Wednesday's play-off.

“We proved at the Emirates Stadium that we are a great squad. At the very least we deserved a draw,” said the striker who rattled the woodwork in that game.

“On home turf we can put in a great performance in front of our home crowd. We hope good luck can give us a hand, too.

“Our first 10 minutes in London weren't great, but then we really rallied. We were unlucky with the crossbar, but can overturn the result in Udine.”

The Stadio Friuli has not hosted a Champions League tie in six years, so the fans and players are fired up for this preliminary round.

“We are all tense in facing a side like Arsenal. We just have to focus on having a great game and giving the crowds an entertaining match. I will try to bring all my experience to the team.

“I hope we can qualify, because I think it will be my last opportunity to play in the Champions League. It would be like winning a World Cup. It's a Final for us.”
