Fabrizio Miccoli takes on Inter tomorrow evening, but tells Palermo “first of all we must focus on avoiding relegation.”

The Sicilians have had a tumultuous summer with Europa League elimination, the dismissal of Coach Stefano Pioli after two months in charge and the promotion of youth team boss Devis Mangia.

“We have a good squad, but before looking at other objectives like the Champions or Europa League, first of all we must focus on avoiding relegation,” said Miccoli.

“That has to be our primary objective for this season. Many of our top players left the club over the summer.

“We've got to hit 40 points as soon as possible, even if that doesn't mean I think we realistically run the risk of being relegated.”
