Ranieri already reflecting on Inter task

Claudio Ranieri is all but confirmed as Inter's new Coach, and is already quoted on his intentions for the Nerazzurri.

The Rome tactician is expected to be announced as the Nerazzurri's replacement for Gian Piero Gasperini today, and was quoted on Rai TV programme Domenica Sportiva earlier, speaking of his initial plans at San Siro.

"Inter are a great team, had a false start: we must talk to the players and see why. But I have to give enthusiasm and change gears, there is everything to lift this team.

"Pazzini? You know how he can play, for me he is one of the most important players. I do not like to promise to win this or that, but I think the guys still have much to give and we must show that."

Ranieri also reflected on his predecessor Gasperini, who was sacked after just five games in charge.

"Gasperini wanted to bring in his ideas, he tried to pursue it at all costs and did not succeed.

"I will try to return this team to play like they know, with all their strength. Gasperini was not wrong I think, he just tried to go for broke with his footballing beliefs."
