Sensi shares Roma memories

Rosella Sensi looked back over her time as Roma President, which she remembers “with pride and a pinch of melancholy.”

The daughter of former patron Franco Sensi, she took over the role during his ill health and eventual death, but the family sold the club to American investors over the summer.

“They were wonderful years that I remember with pride and a pinch of melancholy,” Rosella told Radio Deejay.

“I am most proud that I left a club in good health and a squad with important players. I hope Daniele De Rossi can sign the contract extension and stay, as we didn’t call him ‘Future Captain’ for nothing…”

Francesco Totti has been somewhat pushed out of the spotlight this season and is not always picked by Coach Luis Enrique.

“Francesco is an element of consistency in this Roma. I extended his contract because it was nothing more than confirming his status as a unique champion, both on the field and off it.

“I can see why some fans can not appreciate Enrique’s decision to leave Totti out.”
