Delio Rossi has been told that his job is safe less than a day after President Maurizio Zamparini blasted his Palermo side for only drawing at Bari.
Zamparini criticised the Coach and the players for their inability to win at the San Nicola, calling their performance the worst of the year.
But speaking on Monday amid rumours that he was considering another coaching change, Zampa backed his current tactician.
"I'm 99 per cent sure that he will stay, therefore he will remain," the fiery chief noted.
"Rossi is one of the best Italian tacticians in the championship and he'll be there against Sampdoria on January 6.
"He'll be sitting on the bench and I'm sure that we will win that game."
After supporting his Coach, Zamparini then defended Argentine starlet Javier Pastore who has struggled in recent weeks.
"He is a youngster who doesn't have the kind of experience to carry this team on his shoulders," he continued.
"He's also now mentally tired given that he hasn't really had a rest since the World Cup Finals last summer."
Zampa also congratulated Milan for their imminent capture of Antonio Cassano and revealed the transfer latest on Massimo Maccarone.
"Cassano is an excellent buy for Milan," he added. "I would give [Milan Vice-President Adriano] Galliani 10 out of 10 because he is performing miracles.
"Maccarone? He's not off to Bari because they only want him on loan, he'll join another club who will buy him outright."
