Cosmi trusts in Cuadrado

Serse Cosmi’s Lecce are coming off back-to-back victories and he trusts Juan Cuadrado to make his mark on Genoa too.

“We’ve got to do well to interpret those two consecutive wins and realise Genoa are a very different opponent to Siena and Cagliari,” said the Coach.

“We need to have the right mentality. I am not lulled into a false sense of security by the fact Genoa have the worst defensive record in Serie A, because they have important players at the back who can do very well, starting from goalkeeper Sebastien Frey.

“Cuadrado was on international duty in South America this week, but he does not seem at all tired, so I always like to field talents. He has even scored now and that improved his self-confidence.

“I am also happy that Valeri Bojinov found the net, as in psychological terms he probably needed a goal the most.”
