Sannino sees Siena turning point

Giuseppe Sannino is aware today’s Cesena-Siena match is “a game of vital importance in the relegation battle.”

The Tuscans are fourth from bottom, but a victory would give them a big comfort gap from the drop zone.

“With our last two victories we were able to claw back the two teams in front of us, who are now falling into race. It’s going to be a very hot and difficult game,” said the Coach.

“We did well to involve as many sides as possible in this ‘round table’ fighting to stay in Serie A, but it’s also true this is a game of vital importance in the relegation battle.

“Cesena are joint bottom and in these moments of difficulty every player wants to give his all to prove something to the Coach, the club and the city. We have to face this unifying force as well.

“We are playing without a face and without a name. We have only determination, aggression, belief and respect for our opponents. We are playing on a quick artificial service, so we must be fast in our minds as well as with our feet.”

Gaetano D’Agostino, Francesco Bolzoni, Zeljko Brkic and Pablo Gonzalez miss out on this trip, while Erjon Bogdani is the favourite to partner Mattia Destro, sending Emanuele Calaio to the bench again.
