Transfers: Genoa look to other Milito

There were several official moves today, including Ndiaye Papa Waigo, Raffaele Palladino and Kamil Glik, but Genoa could soon have Gabi Milito.

“I know Gabi and I realise he wants to leave,” said Barcelona Coach Pep Guardiola (pictured) this evening.

“The decision is his; it is not down to me or the club.”

It is reported Milito will follow in the footsteps of his brother, Diego, who joined Genoa before finding greater success at Inter.

Meanwhile, Genoa have already made several official transfers during the January window.

The Grifone have signed Luca Antonelli in a permanent move from Parma, Slovenian midfielder Enej Jelenic from Koper, Swedish striker Linus Hallenius and Portuguese midfielder Judilson Mamadu Tuncara Gomes.

They have in turn sent defender Francesco Modesto and forward Palladino to Parma.

In other transfer news, Parma completed the signing of Toni Calvo from Aris, on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.

Fiorentina have loaned Papa Waigo to Serie B side Grosseto and Chievo have sent striker Marcos De Paula to Padova.

Palermo defender Glik has joined Bari on loan and will soon be joined by Roma forward Stefano Okaka.
