Ganso encourages Inter attention

Ganso, the 21-year-old Brazilian starlet, claims Inter hold him in higher esteem than his current club Santos.

The talented playmaker has recovered from a serious knee injury that he suffered in August and feels unappreciated despite the attention that surrounds him.

Ganso has scored 23 goals in 97 games for Santos and would like a pay increase.

It's no secret that Inter would like to bring the Brazil international to San Siro.

One of the reasons, the Nerazzurri appointed Leonardo in December was to make use of his contacts in South America.

Leonardo played a big part in signing Alexandre Pato and Kaka for Milan.

"Inter have a lot of consideration for me, more than Santos have," Ganso said.

"There have been three meetings, but we have not concluded anything."

Ganso only penned a new five-year contract in February last year, which includes a buy-out clause worth €50m.

A third party called DIS holds 45 per cent of the player's rights.

It remains to be seen whether Inter can come to sort of arrangement to lure one of South America's brightest prospects to Europe.
