Uncertainty at Bayern gives Inter hope

Inter will be hoping to profit from the uncertainty at Bayern Munich following the announcement that Louis Van Gaal is leaving at the end of the season.

Van Gaal survived the sack last night after the Bundesliga champions suffered a third straight defeat away to Hanover. They are out of the title race and the German Cup.

A statement from Bayern this afternoon claims Van Gaal has agreed to rescind his contract once the current campaign is over in May.

Bayern have a 1-0 lead from the first leg of their Champions League knockout tie with Inter. They are due to meet again next Tuesday.
