Gamberini aims for Europe

Fiorentina defender Alessandro Gamberini believes victory over Roma this weekend would be a big step towards Europe.

A four-match unbeaten run has seen Fiorentina climb to eighth in the table and a place in next year's Europa League is within reach.

"The game with Roma is worth a lot not just for the great rivalry that there is with them, but also because we can climb up the table," Gamberini said.

"After getting to 40 points we still have the chance to obtain a finish that could allow us to get into Europe. Recently we have told each other to keep giving everything and to play every game like a Final.

"Winning this match might also make the fans enthusiastic again which hasn't always been the case this season," he concluded.
