Ignazio Abate says he would welcome Cristiano Ronaldo if Milan were to sign the Real Madrid star.
Earlier this week, Silvio Berlusconi told reporters that he dreams of seeing Ronaldo in a red and black shirt.
Interviewed by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Abate was asked how Ronaldo would do at San Siro.
"I believe he would do very well," Abate said. "I hope he comes even if I have already played with many phenomenal players here.
"If you had said to me that I would train with David Beckham, I wouldn't have believed you."
Asked about the improvements he has made to his game this season, Abate said: "I had to learn to be a defender.
"With Leonardo, I started the season as a central midfielder. Now I feel like a defender and I like it.
"I am not thinking a lot about the national team right now. I am thinking about the Scudetto. I am seven games away from a dream."
