Milan spotted in Marin talks?

Werder Bremen directors were spotted in Milan today, fuelling reports of a move for German talent Marko Marin.

Sky Sport Italia claim Werder director of sport Klaus Allofs was spotted at a lunch meeting with Milan figures at the Giannino restaurant.

“The former German international striker met at lunch with his Rossoneri counterpart, Ariedo Braida, at Giannino. Along with them was intermediary Giacomo Petralito,” read the report.

“They talked about Didac Vila, the Spanish full-back that Milan want to send elsewhere to gain experience, while Sokratis Papastathopoulos was already a target for Werder in January.

“Among the Germans, the prize target is certainly Marin. In the past he was of interest to Inter and now tempted by Milan.”

The two clubs are also set to play a friendly in July on German soil.

Marin would be quite a coup for the Serie A leaders, as the 22-year-old attacking midfielder of Bosnian origin is hot property on the transfer market.

He has been linked with the likes of Manchester United, Roma, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Arsenal, Sevilla, Tottenham and especially Chelsea.

It is believed that around €15m should be enough to take Marin, although obviously that price-tag would be cut if other players were involved in an exchange deal.
