Juve-target Benzema happy at Real

Karim Benzema has again distanced himself from a summer move to Juventus. "I have a contract at Real Madrid."

The Old Lady have confirmed that they are aiming to net a big name striker this summer and the Frenchman is one of the players linked.

The former Lyon man has had his difficulties at Real since his 2009 switch, but he insists he wants to prove himself in Madrid.

"I have a six-year contract at Real Madrid and I hope to wear the shirt for a long time to come," he told France 2.

"I have no problems with Coach Jose Mourinho. Actually, he's helped me to improve on aspects of my game and my character.

"Mourinho is a winner."

Juventus director general Beppe Marotta recently admitted that Benzema is the type of player he is looking for.

Talking to Sky Sport Italia last week, Marotta was asked whether one from Carlos Tevez [Man City], Benzema or Sergio Aguero [Atletico Madrid] would arrive.

"Let's say that we are looking for a player who is similar in profile to those," he responded without naming names.

Atletico have confirmed that Juventus have expressed an interest in Aguero.
