Roma will be trained to attack and entertain, new boss Luis Enrique has confirmed on Thursday.
The Spaniard held a Press conference earlier today after new President Thomas Di Benedetto outlined his plans for the outfit.
"I'd like to thank the club for choosing myself and my staff," the former Barcelona B team boss noted.
"I'm an offensive-minded Coach. I like to attack, I like to impress fans and I believe that football should surprise and entertain. Our project is one that will allow us to express offensive football."
Di Benedetto asked the fans for time earlier today and the 4-3-3 tactician mirrored that statement.
"I really like the calmness which the President Di Benedetto is showing," added the former Spanish international midfielder.
"What we are asking for is patience. If we are supported then I'm sure that people will be entertained.
"I don't know the squad that well yet and it will be useless to say that we are targeting the title or the Champions League. Things will be clearer in 10 days' time.
"If we win then everything will be fine and we'll certainly aim to do that with hard work."
Turning to his squad, the tactician spoke well of club symbol Francesco Totti, but refused to discuss want-away striker Mirko Vucinic in any great detail.
"I had the chance to play against Totti. I really like him, I'm really happy that I have the chance to be his Coach and to work with other champions like Daniele De Rossi and Simone Perrotta.
"I'll leave sporting director Walter Sabatini to talk to you about Vucinic. I've been speaking to Sabatini for the last month.
"We certainly need a few new players in some key areas, but we are calm about the situation."
Enrique was then unsurprisingly asked about comparisons between himself and Pep Guardiola of European champions Barcelona.
"Pep is one of the best, if not the best, in the world. He works hard on the training pitch and has a good relationship with his players.
"I'm still some way off what Pep has done. He's won everything and I have yet to start."
