Emanuele Giaccherini’s agent has accused Napoli of mistreating his client. “They still don’t understand that he’s a midfielder, he can improve any squad.”
Giaccherini has seen just 118 minutes of action for Napoli this season, prompting Furio Valcareggi to put the 32-year-old in the shop window, with Chievo reportedly interested.
“I don’t think Napoli can consider him unsellable in January,” he told Radio Crc.
“With all due respect: it's tough for him to play ahead of their front three, but they still don’t understand that Giaccherini’s a midfielder.
“It’s impossible to find someone else like him in January. He gives 100 percent in training, as if he was a starter.
“He’s a decent person, humble and he never shies away. He’s ready to be a starter, but now I’ll start looking at what can be done.
“He’s a player that would improve any squad. Chievo? He would go there, but it depends on the issue of money.”
