Probable line-ups: Inter-Chievo

Mauro Icardi is expected to get the nod up front for Inter against Chievo in Serie A this evening.

Icardi has not scored in his last five games for Inter, but he should win the toss-up with Lautaro Martinez as the lone striker.

Elsewhere, Danilo D’Ambrosio and Marcelo Brozovic are suspended so Cedric Soares and Matias Vecino are likely to slot straight in.

Chievo, meanwhile, are only playing for pride after their relegation to Serie B.

Race for Europe reaches fever pitch

With only nine points up for grabs, Massimo Nuzzo examines how things stand in the fight for European competition.

This past weekend of Serie A action has added to the already massive amount of drama surrounding the fight for the few remaining spots in European competition. As it stands, there are six teams battling it out who still, technically, have a chance to finish in the two remaining Champions League places. Frosinone were relegated today after they blew a two-goal lead at Sassuolo, but Coach Marco Baroni believes it was their home form that “condemned” them to Serie B.

“There wasn’t much for me to say to the lads in the dressing room after the match,” the 55-year-old tactician told Radio Rai1 after the 2-2 draw.
