Brahim Diaz back for Milan Derby

Brahim Diaz is back in the Milan squad, but Mario Mandzukic and Ismael Bennacer miss the Derby della Madonnina.

The clash with Inter kicks off on Sunday at 14.00 GMT, click here for a match preview.

The Rossoneri have Brahim Diaz available again following his injury.

However, Mandzukic and Bennacer are ruled out after picking up injuries during Thursday’s 2-2 Europa League draw with Red Star Belgrade.

Milan duo returns to squad list to face Red Star

Davide Calabria and Ante Rebic return to the Milan squad list for tomorrow's clash against Red Star while Brahim Diaz is the only unavailable player for the Rossoneri.

The Real Madrid loanee is recovering from a muscle injury and won’t be available for the first leg of Europa League round of 32 in Belgrade tomorrow.

Davide Calabria and Ante Rebic return to the squad list. The Italian defender served a one-match ban against Spezia last weekend, while the Croat was injured.

Milan: injury updates on Kjaer and Brahim Diaz

Simon Kjaer and Brahim Diaz underwent medical checks this morning and the Spaniard will miss the upcoming Serie A clash against Crotone.

Both players had picked up muscle injuries against Inter last week and underwent new medical examinations this morning.

According to MilanNews.it, Kjaer’s medical results were ‘positive’ with the Dane who will begin individual training sessions.

Kjaer and Brahim Diaz muscular concerns

Simon Kjaer is expected to miss Saturday’s Serie A trip to Bologna, while Brahim Diaz is also in doubt for Milan.

The Rossoneri are nursing their wounds after last night’s fiery 2-1 Coppa Italia quarter-final defeat to Inter.

Kjaer limped off in the opening stages with a muscular problem and initial reports from MilanNews.it suggest it is a left hamstring issue.

He will need to be re-evaluated in a week’s time, meaning he is certainly out of Saturday’s Serie A match.

Milan coach Stefano Pioli must cope without Simon Kjaer in the Coppa Italia, but Sandro Tonali, Brahim Diaz and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are available against Torino.

Milan consider permanent move for Brahim Diaz

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Milan will soon begin talks with Real Madrid to make Brahim Diaz’s move permanent.

The Spaniard joined the Rossoneri on a dry loan deal last summer, but Milan are determined to extend his stay at the club, the paper reports.

The 21-year-old has four goals and three assists in 21 appearances in all competitions so far this season and the Serie A table leaders do not want to part ways with the U21 Spain international.
