Lazio eye up Sanabria

Lazio are reportedly interested in Paraguay international Antonio Sanabria, currently on loan at Genoa via Real Betis and Roma.

The striker joined Genoa on loan in January with an option to buy that would become obligatory at his ninth goal.

He doesn’t look as if he’ll get there, as Sanabria scored only three in 12 Serie A appearances.

Real Betis are hoping to sell this summer and the Corriere dello Sport claims Lazio have set their sights on the 23-year-old.

Official: Jese joins Betis on loan

Former Torino transfer target Jese Rodriguez has completed his loan move from Paris Saint-Germain to Real Betis.

It was always a long shot for the Granata to get the Spain international, but the 25-year-old was pushing to leave PSG to gain more playing time.

He already had loan spells at Las Palmas and Stoke City since the club paid €25m to get him from Real Madrid in the summer of 2016.

Along with Torino, Parma and Frosinone had also asked for Jese's availability.

Official: Genoa sign Sanabria

Genoa have officially signed Antonio Sanabria from Real Betis, on loan with €20m option to buy, with half that fee going to Roma.

The Paraguay international striker had his medical yesterday and the contract was deposited with the Lega Serie A this morning.

It’s believed to be an 18-month loan with option to buy for €20m in June 2020.

As part of the deal Roma struck when selling Sanabria to Betis for €7.5m in 2016, they will receive 50 per cent of that future transfer fee.

Sky: Sanabria-Genoa medical Friday

Genoa claim they have “not started any talks with Betis yet,” but Sky Sport Italia insist Tonny Sanabria will have a medical on Friday, with work continuing for Marko Pjaca.

The deal is believed to be a loan for 18 months with option to buy for €20m in June 2020.

Gianluca Di Marzio claims the only reason for a delay until Friday is so he can play in the Copa del Rey on Thursday.

Roma sold Sanabria to Betis for €7.5m in the summer of 2016, but with an option allowing them 50 per cent of any future transfer.

“Are we up in the air or is it done? Well, we’re not up in the air…” he told Sportitalia.

Gabbiadini 'has to decide'

Manolo Gabbiadini “has to decide where to go,” said Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl, with reported Sampdoria, Fiorentina, Milan and Betis offers.

The forward is on the market after dropping even further down the pecking order at St Mary’s since Hasenhuttl took over.

“Sure [they have had bids], we have to decide and he has to decide where he wants to go,” Hasenhuttl told Sky Sports.

“There are a few teams interested in Manolo, we will have a look and if there's a result, we'll tell you.”
