Pjanic: ‘A pleasure to play with…’

Juventus’ Miralem Pjanic says it is a pleasure to be playing alongside the likes of Gonzalo Higuain and Paulo Dybala.

The Bosnian joined the Bianconeri from Roma during the summer and made his debut on Saturday, scoring in a 3-1 victory over Sassuolo.

“It really is a pleasure to play with Gonzalo and Paulo, they are two players who understand football,” Pjanic told Tuttosport.

“All it needs is a look in order for them to understand where you want the ball and it’s the same for them.

Strootman ‘grateful’ to Roma

Roma’s Kevin Strootman admits he is grateful to the club for sticking by him despite his injury record.

The Dutch midfielder has experienced recurring anterior cruciate ligament problems since his arrival at Stadio Olimpico in 2013, requiring surgery on three occasions.

However, as the new season approaches, the 26-year-old insists he is feeling well and is looking forward to the Giallorossi’s upcoming Champions League play-offs

Real Madrid in for Pjanic?

Reports suggest Real Madrid are tracking Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic, with a view to a summer transfer.

The Bosnian international has been in fine form for the Giallorossi this season, contributing three goals and three assists in his six Serie A games so far.

According to Calciomercato, Real Madrid have sent scouts to observe the 25-year-old in Roma’s last two Serie A matches, at home to Carpi and away to Palermo.

Pjanic makes Palermo trip

Miralem Pjanic is in the Roma squad travelling to Palermo, but Francesco Totti and Edin Dzeko are still out.

It kicks off on Sunday at 14.00 UK time (13.00 GMT), click here for a match preview.

Totti, Dzeko, Seydou Keita and Antonio Rudiger are still out of action following injuries, while Kevin Strootman is a long-term absentee.

Pjanic had been considered a doubt and failed to train with the team yesterday, but is still included in the trip to Sicily.

Pjanic: 'Night to forget'

Miralem Pjanic admits “not much worked” in Roma’s 3-2 Champions League defeat to BATE Borisov.

Although they fought back late on, the Giallorossi were 3-0 down after half an hour in Belarus.

“What didn’t work in the first half? Not much worked, to be honest,” Pjanic told Roma TV.

“We didn’t play our football. We allowed BATE to control the game and were completely absent when it came to individual duels.

Pjanic back in Roma squad

Miralem Pjanic is back in the Roma squad ahead of schedule, but Wojciech Szczesny is out of their game with Sassuolo.

Radja Nainggolan praises Roma Coach Rudi Garcia, and says they’re targeting ‘big things’.

The Belgian midfielder had previously declared that the Giallorossi have reached the level of Juventus, and went on to discuss his Coach and teammates.
