Muriel: 'My weight always a problem'

Conte: 'I was always a Coach'

Antonio Conte discussed his childhood and why he was always a Coach, even during his days playing in the Lecce youth academy.

Coppa: Genoa win Lecce thriller

Genoa squeezed their way through to the Coppa Italia Fourth Round after beating Lega Pro side Lecce 3-2.

The hosts broke through straight after the restart with a Miguel Veloso free kick from the edge of the box.

However, Lecce fought back and struck twice on the counter in the space of three minutes with Lepore and Torromino.

Juric: ‘Genoa squad not complete’

Genoa Coach Ivan Juric warns the squad is “to be completed” ahead of the new Serie A season.

Vucinic: ‘End career at Lecce’

Mirko Vucinic wants to end his career with Lecce and “it doesn’t make any difference” what division they’re in.

The Montenegrin forward, who also played for Juventus and Roma, joined Al Jazira in the UAE in 2014, but would like to return to Italy to finish his career.

“I’m thinking of ending my career at Lecce,” Vucinic told Sky.

“Even if they’re in the Lega Pro, Serie B, Serie A or D, it doesn’t make any difference.”

Official: Falco to Bologna

After Roma striker Mattia Destro, Bologna have officially signed Filippo Falco from Lecce.

The newly-promoted side are leaving it late to complete their squad, as the Serie A season begins this weekend.

This evening the club announced a deal with Lecce to sign Falco on loan with mandatory option to buy.

The 23-year-old is an attacking right-sided winger who can play in a number of forward roles.

Double swoop for Bologna

Bologna are reportedly close to sealing deals for Honved’s Balint Vecsei and Lecce’s Filippo Falco, while talks for Inter’s Marco Andreolli are underway. 

GianlucaDiMarzio.com has reported today that a deal for Hungary international midfielder Vecsei has been agreed and the 22-year-old’s signing should be confirmed shortly.

The website also believes that Lecce forward Falco is ready to leave the Lega Pro outfit and that his transfer to Bologna will be announced today.
