Official: Behrami quits Udinese

Midfielder Valon Behrami has left Udinese to join Swiss side Sion on a two-year contract.

Behrami moves to Sion on a free transfer after his deal with Udinese expired.

The 34-year-old has spent the majority of his career outside of Switzerland, mainly in Italy with Genoa, Verona, Lazio, Fiorentina, Napoli and the Zebrette.

He also has 83 caps for his country, representing them at four World Cups.

Sion, for their part, were once coached by Gennaro Gattuso and only just avoided relegation from the Swiss top flight last season.

Nainggolan to miss Zenit friendly

Inter midfielder Radja Nainggolan will reportedly miss Saturday’s friendly against Zenit St Petersburg after pulling up with a thigh strain.

Nainggolan lasted just 24 minutes of Inter’s 2-0 defeat to Zenit on Tuesday due to the muscle problem, and Sport Mediaset notes he will undergo tests on Friday.

The website assures the injury ‘doesn’t look serious’ but nonetheless expects the Belgian to skip the clash in Pisa on precautionary grounds.

Spalletti blames fitness work

Luciano Spalletti felt Inter’s pre-season fitness training was to blame for a sluggish performance and defeat to Sion. “It was evident from the start.”

The Nerazzurri were beaten 2-0 by Swiss side FC Sion in this evening’s friendly match, their second outing of the summer.

“Our opponents deservedly won, as we saw from the start that they were moving quicker and stronger than us,” the Coach told Inter TV.

Inter lose friendly and Nainggolan

Inter suffered a 2-0 defeat to Swiss side Sion and lost Radja Nainggolan to injury in this evening’s friendly.

The Nerazzurri tested out a 4-2-3-1 formation with Nainggolan, Matteo Politano and Yann Karamoh fanning out behind Lautaro Martinez.

Nainggolan didn’t last long, as he felt a muscular twinge after 24 minutes and decided to come off as a precautionary measure, making way for youth team player Xian Emmers.

Daniele Padelli’s howler on a corner allowed Neitzke to nod in relatively undisturbed.

Official: Dimarco back at Inter

Inter have officially brought back Italy Under-21 defender Federico Dimarco from Swiss side Sion.

Dimarco was sent to Sion for €4m last summer, but Inter retained a €7m buyback clause, while injury limited the 20-year-old to just nine appearances in Switzerland.

However, the left-back [pictured, left] is unlikely to stay in Milan for long as Tuttomercato expects him to move on to Serie A new boys Parma.

Inter are reportedly willing to give up two players for Cagliari midfielder Nicolo Barella.

According to Tuttosport, Inter hope to pull off a similar deal for Barella to the one that saw them sign Milan Skriniar last year.

The newspaper explains the Nerazzurri will offer teenage striker Andrea Pinamonti to Cagliari, as well as buy Federico Dimarco back from Sion, before forwarding the left-back to Sardinia.

Furthermore, the Beneamata would pay €12m on top for the 21-year-old and propose him a €4m salary.

U21: Dimarco replaces Petretta

The Italy Under-21 side has lost Basel defender Raoul Petretta to injury, calling Sion player Federico Dimarco instead.

Petretta will not take part, as he has been diagnosed with a muscular problem and sent home.

Instead, interim Coach Alberico Evani has brought in Sion defender Dimarco.

Inter sold the 20-year-old left-back to the Swiss club for €4m over the summer.
