Donadoni: ‘Bologna back on track’

Bologna Coach Roberto Donadoni is pleased to see his team back on track, following a 2-1 win over Cagliari.

Goals by Simone Verdi and Federico Di Francesco proved enough to give the Rossoblu victory, despite Bruno Alves pulling one back for the visitors late on.

Speaking to reporters following the match in Emilia Romagna, former Italy boss Donadoni expressed his pleasure that the embarrassing 5-1 defeat to Torino can now be put to one side.

Donadoni wants Bologna response

Roberto Donadoni wants to see a response from his Bologna players as they prepare to face Cagliari on Sunday.

The Emilia Romagna side opened their Serie A campaign with victory over Crotone but followed it up with a 5-1 defeat at the hands of Torino in their last outing.

Speaking at the Press conference ahead of his team’s third game of the new season, the former Italy Coach praised the Rossoblu’s opponents but stressed his side must improve from their last showing.

Donadoni: ’No Parma resentment’

Roberto Donadoni reveals what life was like at Parma last season but “I don’t harbour resentment toward anyone.”

The Ducali were declared bankrupt and had to be funded by the Lega Serie A just to complete their fixtures for the season.

Donadoni was Coach for the struggle, and with the new Parma Calcio 1913 working their way back up from Serie D, he spoke to Gazzetta dello Sport about last term.

“We had good times, my daughter was born there,” Donadoni recalled.

Roberto Donadoni doesn’t rule out taking over from Sinisa Mihajlovic at Milan - “if there’s a chance, I’ll assess things.”

Coach Mihajlovic is reportedly under pressure at San Siro, with two games to save his job, and the former midfielder has been named as a candidate to replace him.

Former Italy Coach Roberto Donadoni believes Milan 'will return to doing well by working hard'.

Lazio consider Pioli alternatives?

Donadoni: ‘Mauri can do well’

Roberto Donadoni believes Jose Mauri has ‘all the qualities to do well’, after moving to Milan.

Donadoni is a Rossoneri legend, and was the midfielder’s Coach at Parma last season, before the Ducali’s bankruptcy allowed the youngster to move to San Siro on a free transfer.

“The fact that Milan are focusing on young players like Jose is a good policy,” Donadoni told MilanNews.

“The club is trying to rejuvenate the squad, so I think it’s good and intelligent.
