Cagliari not punished for Kean racism

Cagliari will not be charged after the FIGC downplayed the severity of the racial abuse their fans directed at Juventus striker Moise Kean.

Kean was subjected to racist chants from sections of Cagliari support after his late goal during Juve’s 2-0 win at the Sardegna Arena on April 2.

It has taken the FIGC over a month to finally reach a verdict, yet on Tuesday it was announced that the Rossoblu had been spared as the chants had ‘an objectively limited relevance’.

Parma target free agent Skrtel

Parma are reportedly targeting Fenerbahce defender Martin Skrtel for this summer, when he’ll be available as a free agent.

The 34-year-old is a former Liverpool legend who has been at Fenerbahce for the last three seasons.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Parma hope to offer Skrtel a new experience in Serie A.

This move would be in the same vein as Bruno Alves and Gervinho, given an opportunity to revitalise their careers in later years.

The offer on the table is believed to be a two-year contract with option to extend for a third.

Bruno Alves: 'Parma so positive'

Bruno Alves reveals how hard he worked to recover from injury and help Parma to a potentially decisive draw with Milan. “This is what happens when you are positive.”

His sensational free kick, the second of the season in Serie A, wiped out a Samu Castillejo header in the 1-1 draw.

“It was very important for me, because I was injured for three weeks, no days off, I gave my best to recover and help the team,” the Portuguese veteran told Sky Sport Italia.

Alves: Why Ronaldo joined Juve...

Bruno Alves paid tribute to ‘source of inspiration’ Cristiano Ronaldo on his birthday and claims the No 7 joined Juventus to win the Champions League.

Alves and Ronaldo have been Portugal stalwarts for the past decade, most notably helping their country win Euro 2016, and they faced each other during Saturday’s 3-3 draw between Juve and Parma.

“I wished him well this morning,” the Ducali defender said of his 34-year-old compatriot to Sky Sport Italia.

OFFICIAL: Bruno Alves renews with Parma

Bruno Alves – who was linked with a deadline-day move to Juventus – has extended his contract with Parma until 2020.

Alves was reportedly Juve’s first choice to come in as a defensive reinforcement after injuries to Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini, but he has since committed to Parma for a further season.

Parma: Bruno Alves going nowhere

Parma have insisted that defender Bruno Alves will not be leaving the club for Juventus or anyone else today.

Alves had been increasingly linked with Juve after Medhi Benatia’s departure was followed by an ankle injury to Leonardo Bonucci.

However, sporting director Daniele Faggiano told Calciomercato.it: “Nothing’s been done for Bruno Alves.

“We haven't talked to anyone, not even with Juventus. Will he renew with Parma? Yes.”

Juve ask for Bruno Alves

With Giorgio Chiellini, Leonardo Bonucci and Andrea Barzagli injured, Juventus have asked Parma for Bruno Alves.

Multiple sources including Sky Sport Italia, Sportitalia and more all claim there had already been an approach for the 37-year-old centre-back over the last few days.

However, news that Bonucci will be out for approximately a month with a sprained ankle and this evening Chiellini limping off with another recurrence of his calf issues during the Coppa Italia quarter-final with Atalanta prompted a rethink.

Juve 'could bring back Caceres'

Juventus could reportedly bring back Lazio defender Martin Caceres for a third spell at the club.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Juve want to replace Medhi Benatia with another experienced player and have sounded out Caceres.

The Uruguayan played for the Old Lady during the 2009-10 campaign before returning two years later and winning four Scudetti.
