Jorginho agent: 'No direct Juve contact'

Jorginho had ‘no direct contact’ with Maurizio Sarri about a potential move to Juventus, said the Chelsea man’s agent. ‘Only if the directors can find an agreement, then I can talk about it.’

The rumours continue to swirl around that Jorginho will reunite with Sarri again, following their time together at Napoli and Stamford Bridge.

“Sarri has never called Jorginho personally to talk about Juventus,” agent Joao Santos told Radio Kiss Kiss.

Mkhitaryan: 'Roma one of my best seasons'

Henrikh Mkhitaryan admits this has been ‘one of the best seasons of my career’ and he is looking forward to Roma’s Europa League tie with Sevilla.

It is a one-off Round of 16 encounter to be played in Duisburg on Thursday at 17.55 UK time (16.55 GMT).

“We’ve got to be careful, because it is all decided in one evening and not over two legs,” said Mkhitaryan in his press conference.

“If we play with confidence, then we can win. It’s important to be balanced in our approach.”

Report: Moses could stay in Italy

Victor Moses could stay in Serie A if Inter pass him up as Roma have shown interest in the Chelsea loanee, it is reported.

Moses joined Inter in January, on loan with option to buy, and has provided four assists in 14 appearances.

However, his second spell under Antonio Conte has been plagued by fitness problems and the Nigerian is therefore expected to be sent back to Chelsea at the end of the season.

Despite that, Calciomercato.it claims that would not be for long as Roma are looking at him as a reinforcement for their right flank.

Roma return Zappacosta to Chelsea

Roma are expected to send Davide Zappacosta back to Chelsea following a disappointing loan spell.

The 28-year-old right-back struggled with injury and managed just seven Serie A appearances throughout the season, contributing one assist.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the emergence of Bruno Peres since the lockdown pushed Zappacosta even further down the pecking order at the Stadio Olimpico.

Zappacosta’s loan had initially been only until January, but it was extended for another six months, plus the remnants of the post-COVID campaign.
