Conti out, Tomori in for Milan

Milan full-back Andrea Conti is on the verge of a loan move with option to buy for Parma, with Fikayo Tomori replacing him from Chelsea.

According to Sky Sport Italia, a deal has been reached between the two clubs and Conti will make the move after a medical on Tuesday.

The transfer is delayed until after Milan’s Serie A match against Cagliari on Monday evening.

Conti had been close to Fiorentina, but the negotiations collapsed over the last few days.

The same is true of Chelsea and Tomori, who will fly out to Milan on Tuesday.

Chelsea set Tomori price-tag

Chelsea are prepared to give Fikayo Tomori to Milan on loan with option to buy for €30m, claim Sky Sport Italia, but that figure is too high for the Rossoneri.

It certainly wouldn’t be the first time a deal between these clubs has been scuppered because of a disagreement over the cost of an option to buy at the end of the season.

Tomori has become the main candidate now for the defence, after multiple reports in Germany and Spain that first choice Mohamed Simakan had agreed to join RB Leipzig from Strasbourg.
