Sarri: 'Juve and 10-12 teams'

Maurizio Sarri wants Juventus to “enjoy our football” against Atletico Madrid. “There are 10-12 Champions League teams with the same resources as us.”

It kicks off on Wednesday at the Wanda Metropolitano at 20.00 UK time (19.00 GMT).

“Miralem Pjanic is available, he trained regularly with the group today and we’ll see if he starts or not,” said the Coach in a Press conference.

Juve won the last eight Serie A titles in a row, but see the Champions League as something of an obsession.

Conte: Italy has tactics problem

Inter boss Antonio Conte has criticised the Italian Press for being too ‘fixated’ on formations. “They don’t give a damn in England!”

Conte has begun his Inter reign with a back three, and the Coach reacted angrily to being asked whether he would switch to a four-man defence against Slavia Prague in Tuesday’s Champions League opener.

“Do they say that I’m more a League coach than a European one? You live by clichés...” the former Chelsea boss said at a Press conference.

Jorginho at Chelsea 'four more years'

Jorginho intends to stay at Chelsea “for at least another four years,” said his agent, who also denied any Maurizio Sarri call from Juventus.

The midfielder followed Sarri to Stamford Bridge from Napoli last year and won the Europa League, so there were naturally reports the pair would be reunited again at Juve.

“No, nothing of the sort happened,” agent Joao Santos told Radio Kiss Kiss.

Kepa Arrizabalaga admits ‘I’m not proud’ of his on-pitch feud with ex-Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri but insists the case was closed ‘the next day’.

Kepa refused to come off in last season’s EFL Cup Final between Chelsea and Manchester City, with the goalkeeper appearing to disobey Sarri’s orders.

However, the 24-year-old insists they parted on ‘good’ terms and praised the now-Juventus Coach for quickly putting the controversy behind him.

Chelsea work on Emerson renewal

Chelsea are reportedly ready to give Italy international Emerson Palmieri a pay rise after a strong start to the season.

Emerson has broken through as Chelsea’s first-choice left-back under Frank Lampard, while he started Italy’s 3-1 win in Armenia on Thursday.

With that in mind, Gazzetta dello Sport’s Nicolo Schira claims the Blues have opened contract talks with the 25-year-old.

Although his current deal does not expire until 2022, Schira writes the London club want to extend it by a further year.
