Pasalic closer to Fiorentina

Chelsea midfielder Mario Pasalic is increasingly close to a Serie A return for Fiorentina.

The 23-year-old already had Italian experience at Milan in 2016-17 and spent this season on loan at Spartak Moscow.

According to RMC Sport, the reports of interest from Fiorentina have intensified considerably over the weekend.

Pasalic is under contract with Chelsea until June 2021, so it would presumably be a loan deal, but they could get an option to buy.

The Croatian is seen as the heir to his fellow countryman Milan Badelj in the Viola midfield.

Zappacosta plus cash for Vecino

Mediaset Premium claim Inter want Davide Zappacosta plus cash if they are to sell Matias Vecino to Chelsea.

The Uruguay international midfielder and the full-back are both working with the same agent, Alessandro Lucci, and he is expected in London next week.

It wouldn’t be a straight swap, as the Nerazzurri rate Vecino as more valuable than former Torino full-back Zappacosta.

The 26-year-old Italian has struggled to settle at Stamford Bridge since his €25m transfer a year ago, contributing two goals and two assists in 38 competitive games.

Alex Sandro to cost €60m

Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United have been told Juventus want €60m to part with Alex Sandro.

According to Mediaset Premium, the price-tag for the Brazilian left-back, who can also play in more advanced roles, is €60m with bonuses.

This appears to have frightened off Manchester United, who have already turned to other targets.

PSG are still very much in the running, but must wait until after June 30 due to Financial Fair Play considerations.

Golovin not a Juve priority

Juventus do not consider CSKA Moscow and Russia midfielder Aleksandr Golovin to be a priority, it’s reported.

The Bianconeri did not disguise their interest in the 22-year-old and have been on his trail for several months.

However, an impressive showing in the World Cup has raised his profile and price-tag, attracting Premier League approaches from the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the boost that pushed his asking price over €25m means Juve are no longer particularly eager to complete the deal.

Chelsea raise Rugani bid

Chelsea are ready to raise their offer for Juventus defender Daniele Rugani to €35m plus bonuses to make Maurizio Sarri happy.

The centre-back had his best season under Sarri at Empoli and has struggled for playing time since moving to Turin.

According to Sportitalia and Il Messaggero newspaper, the €30m plus bonuses bid was rejected, but another is already on its way to Juve HQ.

This time it’ll be €35m plus performance-related bonuses and that is very close indeed to the Bianconeri’s asking price.
