'No €50m Chelsea bid for Pastore'

Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini changed his tune on Javier Pastore again. “Chelsea never offered €50m – I wouldn't have turned that down!”

The patron has continually adjusted the price-tag of his star player and claimed at one point that he had rejected a huge offer, suggesting “one foot is worth €50m.”

However, Zamparini revealed that was nothing but a bluff on the transfer market.

Ancelotti 'won't be crying' if sacked

Roma target Carlo Ancelotti insists “you won't see me crying” if Chelsea fire him next week. “I will find another solution.”

The manager won the title and FA Cup last season, but will end the campaign empty-handed and is expected to be axed.

“The club have to judge my job - be objective. If they decide to change, it's not a problem,” said the former Milan boss.

“You won't see me crying or doing something. I will accept the decision of the club and find another solution.

Ancelotti realistic about future

Carlo Ancelotti is realistic that a trophy-less season at Stamford Bridge could result in the sack.

The 51-year-old has seen his side drop out of the Champions League and the FA Cup.

Chelsea are second in the Premier League but currently lie six points adrift of Manchester United.

"I still have a year left on my contract with Chelsea," Ancelotti said.

"It's obvious that in a club like this the objective is to win and if we don't then the club decides to make a change.

Last call for Ancelotti

Roma's new owners will make one last attempt to lure Carlo Ancelotti away from Chelsea next week before exploring other options.

It's no secret that Thomas Di Benedetto's consortium is keen to hire the former midfielder, who famously played for Roma in the early 1980s.

Chelsea are set to review Ancelotti's position at the end of the season and there have been reports that he will be sacked after a disappointing second year at Stamford Bridge.

Ancelotti in Roma's sights again

Tuesday's exit from the Champions League means Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti is once again in Roma's sights ahead of next season.

Chelsea lost both legs of their quarter-final against Manchester United and that failure would appear to spell the end for Ancelotti at Stamford Bridge.

Last night, former Italy boss Marcello Lippi threw his hat into the ring of candidate to replace Ancelotti at Chelsea, telling Radio Mana Mana: "It would be beautiful."
