Milan seem unwilling to hire Antonio Conte to replace Stefano Pioli while three more candidates for the job emerge on Wednesday: Domenico Tedesco, Sergio Conceiçao and Marco Rose.

Milan are set to part company with Stefano Pioli in the summer, even if the coach still has a year left in his contract at the Stadio Meazza.

The Rossoneri finished the last two seasons empty-handed, so they are expected to sack the Parma-born tactician at the end of the season.

Three more candidates for the Milan job emerge

Wednesday’s printed edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, on page 16, reports that Belgium coach Tedesco is the latest candidate to emerge from meetings between owner Gerry Cardinale, Giorgio Furlani and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The 38-year-old is an ideal profile for the Rossoneri, given that he’s still young but with plenty of international experience. The ex-RB Leipzig coach will lead Belgium at Euro 2024 in a few months.

Gazzetta also mentions Marcelo Gallardo and Christophe Galtier as options for the Rossoneri bench.

As per Tuttosport newspaper on page 15, Porto’s Sergio Conceiçao, a former Inter and Lazio winger, is being monitored by the Serie A giants alongside Leipzig boss Marco Rose and Mark van Bommel.

The Turin-based paper reports that most Milan fans would love to see Conte on the Rossoneri bench next season, but club directors and Zlatan Ibrahimovic seem to be looking for different candidates.
