Zappacosta: 'Hope to stay at Roma'

Davide Zappacosta is still only on loan from Chelsea, but is in no rush to leave Italy. ‘I hope to remain at Roma, especially to prove what I can really do.’

He turns 28 next month and his experience in the Giallorossi jersey was reduced to just one 12-minute substitute appearance in August 2019.

That’s because he suffered a calf strain, followed by a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his knee.

“I really hope that I can remain at Roma for many reasons,” Zappacosta told Sky Sport Italia.

Boga: 'Atalanta and Napoli talks'

Jeremie Boga’s brother and agent confirms he has had talks with ‘Napoli, Atalanta and other European clubs,’ but ‘couldn’t say’ if Chelsea will exercise their buy-back option from Sassuolo.

The 23-year-old attacking winger has had a fantastic campaign, scoring eight goals and providing four assists in 24 Serie A matches.

Sassuolo bought him from Chelsea for €3m in the summer of 2018, but the Stamford Bridge side do have a buy-back option worth €20m.

The problem with Pjanic

With Barcelona, Manchester United and PSG queuing up for Miralem Pjanic, Livio Caferoglu explains why Juventus aren’t doing more to keep the midfielder.

“If you ask my opinion, I’d like to see Miralem Pjanic touch the ball 150 times per game,” Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri famously declared at his official unveiling 11 months ago, resisting a possible reunion with Chelsea and Napoli protégé Jorginho. Eleven months later, however, and the Bosnian is facing an existential crisis in Turin. Despite his struggles adapting to ‘Sarriball’, Pjanic has no shortage of suitors and Juve don’t seem to mind.

Inter sending Moses back to Chelsea

Inter are not prepared to pay the €12m option to buy Victor Moses from Chelsea, so it increasingly looks as if he’ll return to Stamford Bridge this summer.

The wing-back had been on loan at Fenerbahce, but cut that experience short in January to reunite with Antonio Conte at San Siro.

Moses made three Serie A appearances, two in the Coppa Italia and two in the Europa League, most of them as a substitute.

Multiple sources state that Inter want a discount on the €12m option to buy, but The Sun newspaper insists Chelsea are standing firm.

Official: Giroud extends with Chelsea

Lazio and Inter transfer target Olivier Giroud has officially extended his Chelsea contract until June 2021. ‘I am delighted to continue my journey at Chelsea.’

The striker was going to be a free agent this summer and had been on the verge of a move to Inter in January, but it was abandoned because other deals did not go through.

Antonio Conte had been hoping for a reunion next season at San Siro, while Lazio were also known to be making a play for the 33-year-old.
