Jorginho flies out for Chelsea

Napoli midfielder Jorginho is flying out to London tonight and could have his Chelsea medical tomorrow morning.

According to Sportitalia and CalcioNapoli24, the Italy international of Brazilian heritage flew from Naples to Milan today, where he held final negotiations with his agent and Chelsea representatives.

He then got on a plane heading to London and is expected to have his medical on Thursday.

Napoli lawyer confirms Chelsea 'pact'

Napoli’s lawyer confirms they met with Chelsea and Maurizio Sarri’s representatives, organising a “pact of non-belligerence on the market.”

The Coach was technically fired and replaced with Carlo Ancelotti, but still remains under contract with the Partenopei.

It is reported a deal will soon be done to hand Chelsea both Sarri and midfielder Jorginho for a total of €65m.

City deny Jorginho rejection

Manchester City have reportedly denied that Jorginho has chosen Chelsea, and are convinced the Napoli midfielder wants to join them.

There has been an agreement in place with the Italian international for several weeks, and his agent has been in England ready to sign the deal with City.

In recent days though the Blues have hijacked the move, and Partenopei President Aurelio De Laurentiis made it clear today that Jorginho will move to Stamford Bridge.

‘Jorginho to Chelsea, Sarri close’

Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis has confirmed Jorginho is going to Chelsea and that a deal for Maurizio Sarri is ‘in the home stretch’.

De Laurentiis’ remarks come a day after it was reported Chelsea had agreed to bring in Jorginho and Sarri from Napoli for a combined €65m, despite the midfielder appearing to be on his way to Manchester City at one point.

Fabregas in Sarri-Chelsea deal?

La Repubblica claims Chelsea could include Cesc Fabregas in their double deal for Napoli pair Maurizio Sarri and Jorginho.

According to the newspaper, Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis is ‘pushing’ for Fabregas’ involvement in negotiations.

“Carlo Ancelotti would be very comfortable with the experience of the Spanish regista, [who could] tip the balance in the entire deal,” it explains.

There are growing reports Juventus will pay for Cristiano Ronaldo by selling Gonzalo Higuain and Daniele Rugani to Chelsea for €100m.

Capello: 'Ronaldo in, Higuain out'

Cristiano Ronaldo represents “a work of genius” from Juventus directors, said ex Real Madrid boss Fabio Capello. “I think Gonzalo Higuain is going to Chelsea.”

Ancelotti begins Napoli era

Napoli had their first pre-season training session under new Coach Carlo Ancelotti today.

Training was at the Dimaro-Folgarida camp in the northern region of Trento, under unusually heavy rain for mid-July.

There will be a double session tomorrow and among the players involved are new arrivals Alex Meret, Orestis Karnezis, Fabian Ruiz, Roberto Inglese, Amato Ciciretti and Simone Verdi.

All eyes were on Ancelotti, who takes over after three years of chain-smoking Maurizio Sarri.
