'Atalanta market over with Pasalic'

Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi claims his club’s transfer campaign has ‘finished’ with the return of Mario Pasalic.

Atalanta already had a €15m option to buy Pasalic after he spent last season in Bergamo, but Percassi announced on Wednesday that they had renewed their loan deal.

“There was a new development a few minutes ago,” he told ANSA.

“We’re happy because he’s an important player for us. The deal provides us with an option to buy.”

Official: Higuain leaves Chelsea

Chelsea have announced that Gonzalo Higuain has left the club after they opted not to retain the Juventus striker.

A statement on Chelsea’s official website confirmed Higuain, along with four other players, had departed after their contracts expired on Sunday.

The Argentine arrived from Milan in January, the Blues taking over the Rossoneri’s loan deal, which included a €9m option of another season or a permanent transfer for €36m.

Despite winning the Europa League, however, he scored just five goals in all competitions.

Agent: 'Only Juve for Higuain in Italy'

Gonzalo Higuain’s brother has shot down reports of a possible move to Roma. “The only Italian club he’ll play for is Juventus. His contract will be respected.”

The striker returned to Turin after two different loan spells this season at Milan and Chelsea, but neither club wanted to activate the option to buy.

There were growing rumours that Pipita was approached by Roma as part of a possible swap deal involving Nicolò Zaniolo or that he’d negotiate to terminate his contract by mutual consent.
