Hoffenheim confirm Vargas deal

Hoffenheim confirm they have agreed terms with Napoli and Chile international Eduardo Vargas.

The forward underwent a medical this weekend and is set to complete the transfer.

It is believed Napoli will receive €5m plus a percentage of any future sale.

“We have reached an agreement between the clubs and with the player,” Hoffenheim director of sport Alexander Rosen told France Football.

Vargas was signed for €13.5m from Universidad de Chile in January 2012, but barely featured for the Partenopei.

Napoli leave out De Guzman

Napoli left out transfer-listed Jonathan de Guzman, Edu Vargas and Juan Camilo Zuniga for the trip to Sassuolo.

The Partenopei are without Faouzi Ghoulam, who sits out a one-match ban, and the injured Mariano Andujar.

Notably left out are De Guzman (who seems ready to turn down a move to Sunderland), Chile international Vargas and Zuniga.

Edu Vargas to Hoffenheim

Napoli are ready to send Chile international Edu Vargas to Bundesliga side Hoffenheim.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the two clubs have reached an agreement on a permanent transfer.

His price-tag was in the region of €9m after loan spells at Gremio, Valencia and QPR.

Vargas was instrumental in Chile’s Copa America triumph over the summer.

The 25-year-old never made at impact at Napoli since joining from Universidad de Chile in January 2012.

Trabzonspor Vargas interest fades

Trabzonspor’s elimination from the Europa League reportedly means they have pulled out of a bid to sign Napoli’s Eduardo Vargas.

Tuttomercatoweb has reported today that the Turkish Super Lig side, who were eliminated in Europa League qualifying by Rabotnicki, had been interested in signing the Chile international.

A €1.5m loan fee with a €8.5m buyout clause was believed to have been proposed for the striker, who doesn’t appear to be in new Coach Maurizio Sarri’s plans.

Edu Vargas 'evaluating offers'

Napoli-owned Chile international Edu Vargas will “make a decision that satisfies everyone” after interest from Marseille.

The forward has been loaned out almost constantly since he was bought from Universidad de Chila for €13.5m in January 2012.

He’s not part of the Partenopei’s plans and has received two major offers from Dubai and Marcelo Bielsa’s Olympique Marseille.

Spain, England and UAE for Vargas

Napoli “are evaluating the best solution” with Eduardo Vargas after receiving offers from Spain, England and the UAE.

There had been reports the striker was on the verge of a move to the United Arab Emirates.

“We are evaluating many offers for Eduardo Vargas,” director general Cristiano Giuntoli told El Mercurio paper.

“The proposal from the UAE is very good for our club, but we also received an offer from Spain. I cannot say the name of the club, but they intend to buy the player outright.

Edu Vargas close to Al-Ain

Reports in Chile claim Napoli will sell Eduardo Vargas to Al-Ain FC for €11m.

The 25-year-old scored four goals in the Copa America this summer, leading Chile to victory on home turf.

However, he has struggled at club level ever since moving from Universidad de Chile to Napoli in January 2012 for €13.5m.

He had loan spells at Gremio, Valencia and QPR, but never quite found his form.

Now Napoli are eager to get him off the books and Chilevision claim a deal is very close to being completed with UAE club Al-Ain.

CSKA ask for Edu Vargas

Napoli are considering an offer from CSKA Moscow for Chile international striker Eduardo Vargas.

Sky Sport Italia claim the Russian side has come forward asking for a loan with option to buy, but the Partenopei want him off the books permanently.

The forward was signed from Universidad de Chile in January 2012 for €13.5m, but has barely featured in the Azzurri jersey.

He had loan spells at Gremio, Valencia and most recently QPR, while he shone this summer when his country won the Copa America.

Fiorentina eye Edu Vargas

Edu Vargas won the Copa America with Chile and could return to Serie A for Fiorentina rather than Napoli.

The forward spent last season on loan at QPR, but struggled to adapt to the Premier League style.

Napoli do not seem particularly intent on bringing him back to base, so must find him another club.

According to the Corriere Fiorentino newspaper, he could be heading for the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

The Viola could either buy Vargas outright or more likely take him on loan.

Napoli are in negotiations to sell Chile international Eduardo Vargas to Arsenal, sponsored by Alexis Sanchez.

The forward has barely featured in a Partenopei jersey since joining from Universidad de Chile in January 2012.

He had loan spells at Gremio, Valencia and most recently QPR in the Premier League.

According to Sport Mediaset, Napoli are in talks with Arsenal to sell Vargas on a permanent basis for around €16m (£11.3m).
