Nesta: ‘Milan big chance for Miha’

Alessandro Nesta describes Milan as “a big chance” for Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic.

The Serbian has taken over from Filippo Inzaghi, but his Rossoneri have endured mixed fortunes in the opening weeks of the season.

“I knew he’d become a Coach,” Nesta told Milan Channel as he paid a visit to Milanello.

“He already thought as a Coach. Milan is a big chance for him. I’m rooting for Milan. A lot has changed this year, they need to find consistency.

Romagnoli: 'My models? Nesta and Zidane'

Milan's Alessio Romagnoli says his idols are Alessandro Nesta and Zinedine Zidane and remembers how he used to play as a midfielder.

The 20-year-old took up the shirt with the number 13, which used to belong to iconic defender Nesta, but he says comparisons don't weigh him down.

“I was the one who asked for this shirt, because Nesta was my idol,” he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I was thinking about him, and not about the idea of adding any extra responsibility.

Romagnoli to take Nesta number

Alessio Romagnoli will reportedly wear Alessandro Nesta’s old number 13 shirt when he finally completes his Milan move.

The defender is on the verge of sealing a transfer from Roma, and is expected to arrive in Milan today before undergoing a medical tomorrow.

Calciomercato reports that the deal will be worth €25m, plus €3m in bonuses, meaning the two parties have met in the middle following the Rossoneri’s €25m offer and the Lupi’s €30m asking price.

Nesta: ‘Confusion hurting Milan’

Alessandro Nesta believes foreign owners are only interested in ‘business’, and admits he’ll be backing Juventus tonight.

The former Milan defender gave his opinion on the state of the club, with rumours suggesting that President Silvio Berlusconi is ready to sell to Thai investor Bee Taechaubol.

“Milan are going through a tough spell,” Nesta told Sky.

Stevan Jovetic picked seven ex or current Serie A players in his all-time ideal XI, including Gigi Buffon and Paolo Maldini.

The Manchester City forward spoke to the official club website and outlined the reasons behind his choices.

Lippi, Nesta praise Totti selfie

Both World Cup winning Coach Marcello Lippi and legendary Italian defender Alessandro Nesta have praised Francesco Totti's selfie in the Rome derby.

The Roma Captain scored a brace in the 2-2 draw with Lazio and celebrated the second goal by taking a selfie with his mobile phone.

Numerous sources in Italy have commented on the gesture, including Lazio President Claudio Lotito, who called it 'inappropriate'.

Nesta: ‘I want to Coach’

Former Milan defender Alessandro Nesta admits that he'd like to try his hand at coaching, and says teams must ‘defend with 11 players’.

The legendary Rossonero was present at Veronello and spoke out to the official Chievo channel.

“I want to try coaching a team,” he said, as relayed by Tuttomercatoweb. “It's necessary to pass by here to get the license, so we'll see.”

Nesta was asked about the necessary elements to form a great defence.
