Udinese swoop for Sema

Udinese have agreed a deal to sign Watford and Sweden winger Ken Sema, according to Sportitalia.

Due to the close relationship between the two clubs and Sema’s contract still having four years left to run, Udinese are expected to take him on loan.

The 25-year-old joined Watford from Ostersunds FK last summer and went on to play 22 times for the Hornets, scoring one goal and providing three assists.

However, he does not figure in their plans this season and will instead fill the void on the Zebrette’s left flank.

Olsen and €15m for Deulofeu?

Roma could offer Robin Olsen plus €15m for Watford winger Gerard Deulofeu, considering him a cheaper alternative to Milan’s Suso.

The Giallorossi have been seeking players suited to new Coach Paulo Fonseca’s 4-3-3 system.

Suso was their first choice, but the €40m asking price was considered excessive.

According to Radio Centro Suono Sport, Roma are turning their focus towards Spain international Deulofeu.

The Granata, for their part, are stepping up their plans in the transfer market after they were admitted to the Europa League.

Cairo: 'Torino deserve Europa League'

President Urbano Cairo insists Torino “deserved” to enter the Europa League after 63 Serie A points, even if it did need Milan’s exclusion first.

The Rossoneri had been due to enter the tournament in the group phase, with Roma in the preliminary round, but UEFA excluded them for Financial Fair Play violations.

Consequently, Roma were bumped up to the group phase and Torino enter the preliminary round starting July 25 against either Debrecen or Kukesi.

Torino back in for Pereyra

Torino are in the Europa League preliminary rounds and therefore have an extra budget to ask Watford for €20m-rated Roberto Pereyra.

The Granata finished seventh in Serie A, which was not valid for a place in UEFA competition.

However, as Milan were excluded from the Europa League due to Financial Fair Play violations, it bumped sixth-placed Roma straight into the group stage, with Torino inheriting their preliminary round spot.

Lazio close on Vavro move

Lazio are closing on FC Copenhagen centre-back Denis Vavro for €10m, as it’s reported Watford saw their offer rejected.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Premier League side Watford made a bid for the Slovakia international, but it was insufficient.

The Biancocelesti are confident the 23-year-old favours them and hope to lower the asking price from €12m to €10m.

Vavro only joined FC Copenhagen from MSK Zilina in 2017 for €1.4m and his contract runs to June 2022.

Napoli in talks for Deulofeu

Napoli have reportedly asked after Gerard Deulofeu, but Watford want €30m for the former Milan winger.

According to Calciomercato.com, Carlo Ancelotti considers the Spaniard a potential reinforcement for his squad next season.

There have been talks between director of sport Cristiano Giuntoli and agent Alberto Botines over the last few days.

However, the €30m asking price is considered to be far too high and his representative is therefore working to get Watford to lower their expectations.

Udinese to get Gueye via Watford

Udinese are expected to bring in Le Havre midfielder Pape Gueye on loan after he has been sold to Watford.

The two clubs are both owned by the Pozzo family, so regularly swap players between them on loans or for minimal fees.

According to The Daily Mail, Watford have a deal to purchase 20-year-old Gueye from French club Le Havre.

They then intend to immediately loan him out to Serie A side Udinese for the 2019-20 season, allowing him to gain experience.

There is no option to buy and Gueye will therefore return to Watford next summer.

Watford keen on Olsen?

Watford are reportedly ready to end Robin Olsen’s nightmare at Roma, who are holding out for €10-15m.

According to Calciomercato.com, Watford have shown an interest in Olsen as Ben Foster turns 36 later this year and 38-year-old Heurelho Gomes could move on this summer.

The Swede was brought in as Alisson’s replacement last year, but his debut campaign was littered with mistakes, prompting Antonio Mirante to replace him as the club’s No 1.

England calling for Diawara

The Guinea international turns 22 next month and was a €14.5m investment from Bologna in the summer of 2016.

However, he has struggled for playing time under Carlo Ancelotti, making 19 competitive appearances this season, most of them off the bench.

Tottenham had been in talks several months ago, but seem to have cooled their intention in recent weeks.
