Ausilio: 'Inter didn't want Balo'

Roberto Mancini confirmed he wanted to sign Mario Balotelli, but Inter director Piero Ausilio denies it.

The Coach made the admission during an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport this week, stating he had spoken to SuperMario during his time at Liverpool and was ready to bring him back to San Siro.

“I think the Coach was joking…” director Ausilio told Mediaset Premium this evening.

Mancini: 'Milan beat Inter to Balotelli'

Roberto Mancini admits he “would’ve brought Mario Balotelli to Inter, but Milan got there first.”

The Nerazzurri Coach spoke to La Gazzetta dello Sport ahead of tomorrow night’s Derby della Madonnina.

It had been rumoured that Inter were also seeking to sign Balotelli on loan from Liverpool this summer, but the club always denied that was a possibility.

“I admit it, it’s true. I would’ve brought Balotelli to Inter,” Mancini confessed to La Gazzetta.

Inter's Piero Ausilio praises new signing Adem Ljajic, whilst discussing Mohamed Salah and Mario Balotelli.

The sporting director mentioned that the Biscione still had to grow in terms of team unity, but he does believe the squad in and of itself has been sufficiently reinforced.

Milan's joint-CEO Adriano Galliani calls Mario Balotelli’s behaviour ‘exemplary’ and praises Sinisa Mihajlovic.

Balotelli re-joined the Rossoneri this summer following a difficult spell at Liverpool, and had to agree to a number of rules about his behaviour.

'Balo-Bacca-Adriano trident works'

It ‘wouldn’t be a problem’ for Carlos Bacca, Mario Balotelli and Luiz Adriano to play in tandem, according to the Brazilian. 

All three strikers arrived at San Siro over the summer, and Adriano believes that they can work together effectively.

Mario Balotelli might still be owned by Liverpool, but he posted a picture of himself kissing the Milan badge.

The striker arrived on loan at the end of the transfer window and there is no option to buy for his old club.

SuperMario posted an image on his Instagram account of him kissing the badge on a Milan jersey.

“LOVE ac Milan now more than ever,” he wrote on the caption.

“United through good and bad times. Forza Milan.”
