Napoli organise singing flashmob

Napoli are organising a flashmob to get the entire city in lockdown singing ‘Un giorno all’improvviso’ this evening – a song Liverpool fans also co-opted with different lyrics.

With all of Italy ordered to stay indoors during the Coronavirus pandemic to slow the spread of the highly-contagious disease, a series of flashmobs have sprung up.

Juve target new striker

Juventus are weighing up a summer move for either Gabriel Jesus, Timo Werner or Mauro Icardi as a replacement for Gonzalo Higuain next season, according to Tuttosport.

The Turin daily speculates that the Italian champions are seeking a striker under the age of 30 for next season, and have identified one of Icardi, Werner or Jesus as a realistic target to replace Higuain.

The Argentine striker is 32-years-old, and his contract expires at the end of next season.

Emre Can: 'Wanted to be important'

Emre Can has revealed that he rejected Manchester United, left Juventus because of his “mentality” and chose Borussia Dortmund to be “important”.

After 45 games, contributing four goals for the Bianconeri, the 26-year-old ended his stint in Turin after only one and a half season.

The former Liverpool and Juventus midfielder moved back to Germany this winter and has revealed why he chose to move away from the Allianz Stadium.

Sissoko: 'Pogba and Liverpool in Juventus future'

Mohamed Sissoko believes Paul Pogba will “return to Juventus” from Manchester United, while he sees a Champions League Final between Liverpool and the Bianconeri.

The 35-year-old Mali midfielder announced his retirement in January and spoke to the Daily Mail about one of his former Juve teammates, Pogba.

Sarri: 'Juve favourites? Don't joke'

Maurizio Sarri maintains Jurgen Klopp and Lionel Messi are “making fun” when they claim Juventus are Champions League favourites. “There are financially stronger clubs.”

The Bianconeri visit Olympique Lyonnais this evening in the first leg of the Round of 16.

Their coach spoke to Esporte Interativo and was asked about comments from Barcelona hero Messi and Liverpool manager Klopp suggesting Juve were among the favourites.

Lazio in for Lallana?

Lazio have been linked with a move for Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana.

La Gazzetta dello sport journalist Nicolo Schira suggests that the Biancocelesti, along with Premier League side Leicester City, are interested in signing the 31-year-old.

Lallana’s contract with The Reds expires at the end of the season, and so could move to Italy’s capital on a free transfer.

Lazio have experience of signing players from Liverpool, as they bought midfielder Lucas Leiva in the summer of 2017.

Immobile: 'Lazio family chasing dream'

Ciro Immobile celebrates his birthday with a message for his Lazio teammates and also Jurgen Klopp. “We are a family chasing a dream.”

The striker turns 30 today and is having the best season of his career, scoring 26 goals in 24 Serie A matches, up to 29 in 31 competitive games.

“I am still young, but inside I feel even younger!” he told Lazio Style Radio.

CL: Dortmund and Atleti win first legs

Borussia Dortmund beat PSG 2-1 with an Erling Haaland brace, while Atletico Madrid’s early Saul Niguez tap-in proved enough to defeat Liverpool 1-0.

The first legs of the Champions League Round of 16 were played this evening with two home wins.

Saul Niguez reacted quicker than anyone when a Koke corner bounced off Fabinho into the six-yard box, giving Atleti the lead within five minutes at the Wanda Metropolitano.

Klopp: 'I respect Sarri'

Liverpool coach Jürgen Klopp apologised to Maurizio Sarri after his comments about Juventus and said he didn’t want to “put pressure” on the Old Lady coach.

Klopp had claimed that the Bianconeri consist of such quality that he was surprised that Sarri’s side weren’t leading by 10 points in Serie A this term.
