Report: Genoa deal done

It’s reported Genoa President Enrico Preziosi has sold around 50 per cent of the club to Giovanni Calabrò.

The patron has been in negotiations to sell a stake in the Grifone for several weeks, but it later emerged that Calabrò had been sentenced to six years and four months imprisonment for bankrupting the company Algol.

The court in Monza found that Calabrò had employed his Kurdish friend Mario Saeed to act as a fake Sheikh with oil money from Dubai, in order to impress investors and strip the company of its assets.

Lotito: ‘Campaign of lies’

Lazio President Claudio Lotito hits out at “a campaign of lies” after reports he’s under suspicion for illicit deals.

It’s being reported that prosecutors in Milan are investigating the Lazio President, among others, for rigging the sale of TV rights in favour of one particular broadcaster.

“For eight months now, a campaign of lies has been taking place against me,” Lotito told La Repubblica.

Preziosi: 'I’m the victim'

Genoa President Enrico Preziosi comments on the developing InFront scandal - “I could actually be the victim.”

Reports emerged this morning that Preziosi, Claudio Lotito of Lazio and Gianluca Paparesta were being investigated by prosecutors in Milan over the sale of television rights. None of the men have been charged with any offence.

Official: Genoa extend Lamanna contract

Genoa have officially announced a contract extension for goalkeeper Eugenio Lamanna.

The 26-year-old is ordinarily a backup for Mattia Perin, but has played all seven of the Grifone’s matches this season, with Perin injured.

“Genoa CFC announces that it has extended the contract of Eugenio Lamanna,” a statement on the club’s official website announced.

“The date of expiry has been extended to June 30, 2019.”

Lamanna also spoke to the club website, and expressed his happiness after committing to Genoa.

Preziosi: 'Roma betrayed me'

Genoa President Enrico Preziosi denied he’s selling the club and said Roma "betrayed" him over Juan Manuel Iturbe.

‘Bournemouth bid €15m for Perotti’

Genoa rejected a €15.5m bid for Diego Perotti from Bournemouth, according to Rossoblu President Enrico Preziosi.

The Grifone chief discussed his club’s summer transfer activity, and expects FIFA’s permission to complete the signing of Bruno Gomes from CD Nacional.

“Our assets of €20m from the last transfer window were imposed by ourselves, it’s so much money that it allowed us to keep Perotti,” Preziosi said to Tele Nord.

Preziosi: 'No truth to Genoa sale'

Genoa President Enrico Preziosi said there’s “no truth” in reports he’s selling the club to American investors.

The story emerged via Tuttomercatoweb, who claimed the talks were at an advanced stage and due diligence already in process.

“There’s no truth to that,” Preziosi told Primo Canale television.

Genoa sold to Americans?

There are reports an American fund is in advanced negotiations to buy Genoa from Enrico Preziosi.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, the situation has already reached the stage of due diligence.

This is when the buyers inspect the books.

Talks have been going for some time and over the last few days representatives of the American investors were reportedly spotted at the Genoa HQ.

Preziosi has been in charge of Genoa since July 2003, when he took the club that had just been relegated into Serie C1.

‘Genoa rejected €15m for Perotti’

President Enrico Preziosi reveals Genoa turned down €15.5m for winger Diego Perotti from an English club.

Inter were believed to have made an offer for the Argentinian winger on Monday, with Bournemouth linked yesterday.

“I rejected an offer for Perotti on Monday,” Preziosi confirmed.

“Then yesterday an offer of €15.5m came in from England. I told the lad, and we decided together to turn it down.
