Radu set for Parma loan

In a surprise twist, Inter-owned goalkeeper Ionut Radu is set to join Parma after his Genoa loan, despite an offer from Nice.

The 22-year-old had been on loan at Genoa since 2018, but was infuriated by the decision to bring in Mattia Perin on loan from Juventus in January, effectively pushing him to the bench.

His agent had been looking for a new destination and told Radio Marte this week that “Nice want him on loan for 18 months.”

Napoli turn to Pinamonti

Mainz director of sport Rouven Schroder denies Napoli have made an approach for striker Jean-Philippe Mateta, as the Partenopei look to Inter’s Andrea Pinamonti.

Napoli are on the lookout for a new striker as Rino Gattuso remains unconvinced by Fernando Llorente.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the Partenopei had a €21m deal for SPAL’s Andrea Petagna rejected.

It was later reported by French outlet L’equipe that they had turned to Mateta of Mainz.

Younes rejects Samp

Napoli winger Amin Younes is continuing to reject the opportunity to join Sampdoria, despite an agreement between the clubs.

Younes has found playing time difficult to come by and is actively looking to leave the Partenopei.

SportItalia’s Alfredo Pedulla states that an agreement has been found between Napoli and Samp, however the player himself is continually rejecting the move.

Bundesliga side Mainz are reportedly interested in the player, alongside Genoa and Torino, especially if Iago Falque leaves the Granata for SPAL as rumoured.

Atalanta defender Andrea Masiello has arrived in Genoa to undergo his medical with the Rossoblu.

Masiello has been with La Dea since 2011, and has racked up over 150 games for the Bergamo outfit.

The defender is expected to sign a two-and-a-half year deal with Genoa.

Masiello is 33 years old and was implicated in the Calcioscommesse betting scandal at the beginning of last decade.

The defender recently lost his place in the Atalanta starting XI, and has only made 7 appearances in Serie A this season.

'Castrovilli didn't know where he was'

Fiorentina coach Beppe Iachini confirmed Gaetano Castrovilli has been taken to hospital for tests after the draw with Genoa. “He didn’t know where he was.”

The first questions in the press conference were about Castrovilli, who without any knock to the head throughout the match, suddenly felt dizzy and had to come off.

“I don’t know if he got a knock or what, but obviously we hope it’s nothing serious,” explained Iachini.

Nicola: 'Genoa deserved to win'

Davide Nicola believes Genoa deserved to beat Fiorentina and should use that “constructive anger” to fuel their progress.

The Grifone even had a penalty in Florence, Bartlomiej Dragowski saving the Domenico Criscito spot-kick.

“We are rightly a bit angry this evening, but it should be constructive anger, because we had the clearest scoring opportunities and deserved to win,” the coach told Sky Sport Italia after a 0-0 draw.

Dragowski: 'I prefer making saves'

Bartlomiej Dragowski described the most difficult saves he had to make against Genoa and insisted he prefers being under siege in the Fiorentina goal.

The Viola had won three on the bounce between Serie A and Coppa Italia, but were held to a 0-0 draw this evening.

“I don’t know if this is a step backwards. We knew this would be tough, because Genoa really need points too,” the Poland international told Sky Sport Italia.
